Many people I know are afraid to make regular visits to their physicians. For some reason, they have learned to be fearful of visiting a doctor and of what the visit might mean for them. I am increasingly grateful that my parents taught me to understand that going to a doctor is a privilege that not everyone in the world gets. As I have been raising my own five children, I have tried to help them understand as well that visiting a doctor of any kind is a privilege that should not be taken lightly. I have recently begun sharing with my kids the privilege of utilizing the physicians who specialize in dermatology. Read the rest of this entry »
